Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead are the founders and designers behind South East London based 2LG Studio, as well as authors of Interior handbook, Make Living Lovely and experts on Channel 4’s Changing Rooms.
Their unique approach colour and how they use it to transform spaces has always been hugely inspiring to us, so as long time admirers we wanted to chat to them about their inspirations and get an insight into their hosting style!
How did 2LG Studio come to life?
Lots of hard work and grit. Determination. Persistence. Kindness.
How would you describe your interior style?
Joyful minimalism
What's your favourite part of the job?
Meeting people, working together. Challenging each other to be better all the time.
What inspires you?
Gosh, everything. Nature, art music, eachother.
What's your favourite colour palette at the moment?
Changes on the daily.
A career moment that made you really proud?
We rarely take time to look back, but recently a dear friend who is a photographer made us a book of the last 10 years of all our work she had photographed. That made us really proud!
When you’re invited to dinner, what do you take with you?
We always ask if we can make something, but if it’s a no, we often go flowers, champagne and a scented candle. Who doesn’t love a scented candle!
In your opinion, what are the three most important elements of a well dressed table?
For us, it’s gotta be the food the wine and the company. But also, cutlery… it has to be comfortable to hold. And fresh flowers. Always loads of flowers!
